Our Story

Chris was raised in Missouri joining the United States Army in 1978 as an MP bringing him to Alaska in 1981. Making Alaska his home for the last 35 years.
Karen was raised in Indiana moving to Alaska with her children in 1989 also making Alaska their permanent home.
Chris has 38 years of MP, APD, and certified security background. Chris also has 35 years under his belt as a firearms instructor, is an NRA certified law-enforcement

pistol and shotgun instructor, and is a Glock/Remington 870 Armorer. Chris is EMT lll certified; Karen is an NRA Certified Pistol instructor, ETT certified and has an NRA Leadership and Development Certificate. Karen also has more than 25 years of certified security background.
Chris and Karen have been married for 23 years, have raised three children, have ten grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and are very family oriented.
Chris and Karen are avid Alaskans always looking for the next great adventure. They’re actively engaged in all outdoor activities including but not limited to camping, hunting, fishing, river rafting, four wheeling, even previously owning an Alaska snow machine lodge and operating a remote Alaska fishing lodge, engaging in anything that could lead them to their next amazing adventure.
Chris and Karen are dedicated to promoting and educating gun safety.
